Prison Break s02e04
Season 2 Episode 4.
First Down

CUT TO:
[Car down the rural highway. Lincoln at the wheel, Michael sitting shotgun, Nika is in
the back]
Nika: What happens when you get to Mexico? Where will you go?
Michael: [Without turning around] It's best if you don't know. It's best for everyone.
We'll drop you off in the next town, and
I'll wire you that $10,000, like i said. Shouldn't take more than a week or two.
Lincoln: [Glances in the rearview mirror and notice a car on their tail] Michael. We got
company. What's hell going on?
[Michael and Nika turn around and the car hit them]
Lincoln: Hold on!
Michael: Who is it? Who is it?
Lincoln: It's Bellick!
Michael: Hold on, hold on, hold on. Can this thing go any faster?!
Lincoln: What do you think?!
Michael: Look out
(Geary shoves the car and they crashed into a large tree)
(Lincoln, Michael and Nika get out of the crushed and smoking car)
Bellick: (shooting) Nobody move! Nodody move!
Bellick: (to Lincoln and Michael) Good to see you again, boy.
Lincoln: No need for anyone to get hurt, boss.
Bellick: Boss? Oh, there’s no need for formalities anymore there, saint. I’m no longer an
employee of the state, thanks to you.
Michael: I think somebody wants that reward.
Bellick: Oh, it’s not about reward money, friend. Your pal Manche told me all about your
little treasure hunt for Westmorland’s stash. Get in the car. We’re goin’ to Utah!
CREDITS
CUT TO:
(Walking towards the car)
Bellick: All the cops following you all over the country, when all you had to do is tail
the tail, you know? Move that moneymaker, sweetheart.
Geary: (pushing Lincoln) Let's move it, convict.
Michael: If you know about the money
in Utah, why do you need us?
(Meanwhile, Lincoln puts a shard of the broken headlight under the wheel)
Bellick: Well, the excitement of the escape, Manche didn't hear everything Westmoreland
said before the old bird kicked the bucket, But he heard enough: Utah and five million.
You'll fill in the blanks. (Roughs up Nika)
(Michael tries to intervene)
Bellick: Don't even think about getting cute, smart-Ass. Now, you and your brother are
gonna take me right to where that money is, or the whore gets dead real fast. Ask me if
I'm bluffing.
CUT TO: Mahone's Office
(Mahone is at his desk, staring at the case file of OScar Shales)
Wheeler: The dredging of the river under Scofield's apartment bore some fruit. Found a
hard drive under the river bed. Serial numbers match an order that Scofield put in with
dell a few months before he was incarcerated. They've recovered about 12
percent of the data so far.
(Newspaper articles: "D.B. Cooper, Myth Still Alive Despite Conviction", "Governor's
Daughter Wins Humanitarian Award", he pins the last article, about Sara onto the board)
Wheeler: And this is helping us how?
Lang: Blood tests came back. B- Negative all over that crash site. Scofield and burrows
are both...
Mahone: B- Negative. I know.
Lang: I'll reach out to the media.
Mahone: How about don't. If it gets out that the guy who...who masterminded this whole
thing is possibly dead, the other six cons are gonna get their guards up even more.
(Louder) It is our policy- Excuse me...It is our policy (hit the board) not to announce
deaths until they're confirmed!
Lang: We've got an exploding car and a blood match.
Mahone: Well, then do more tests.
Lang: On what?
Mahone: On the bumper. I don't know. I don't care. Just delay.
I want those guys out there getting
more complacent, not more careful.
CUT TO:
In the car Debra Jean is driving and Tweener is in the passenger side as they make their
way to Utah.
On the radio: To forge ahead with its nuclear program. In national news, the eight
escaped convicts from Fox River Penitentiary in Illinois are still at large, and...
(Tweener quickly change the station)
Debra Jean: Hey, I was listening to that.
Tweener: Yeah. Yeah, I want to hear this.
Debra Jean: Really? You like John Denver?
Tweener: Yeah. (Singing) Country ho...Take me home to your place i've got cash. Country
ho in West Virginia
take me home, my country ho... This is good, this is good.
Debra Jean: Don't quit your day job.
Tweener: What? Nah, I just need a little tequila to get my karaoke on.
Debra Jean: Yeah.
(Tweener notice a cop on the side of the road with a speed gun)
Tweener: Here, yo, slow down.
Debra Jean: We're doing,like, 65 in a 60...
Tweener: Yo, slow down.
Debra Jean: All right, dad. (slows the car)
Tweener: Yo, we can't be having that, man. Tickets are, like, 200 bones.
Debra Jean: (Suspicious) Yeah.
CUT TO:
(Geary and Bellick have pulled off to the side of the road)
Bellick: I never thought I'd say this, Scofield, but I thank god for the day you walked
into Fox River.
Geary: And out of it!
[both laugh]
Michael: (to Nika) It's gonna be okay.
Nika: (upset) I don't want to hear from you right now. You told me nothing would happen.
You promised me. (Gets in the car)
Bellick (about Nika): That´s one pissed off commie you´ve got in your hands Scofield.
Didn't your mama tell you how to treat a lady? Or was she a whore like this one?
(Lincoln flips out on Bellick)
Michael: Linc!
Bellick: (pointing his gun at Liconln) Got a problem there, Burrows?
Geary: (pointing his gun at Lincoln)We only need one of you to take us to the money.
Remember that.
Michael: Let's go, buddy. Let's go.
CUT TO:
Narcotics Anonymous meeting
Addict: I'd been really drunk at the wedding speech. And this was the first time that
we'd spoken since then. And it was cleansing. It was really cleansing. Thank you.
Leader: Good share, Ralph. Well, we're out of time. Unless there are any burning
desires...
Paul Kellerman: [posing as Lance] Actually, I'd like to... You know, if there's time.
Leader: Of course.
Paul Kellerman: I'm Lance, and i'm an addict.
Eveyone: Hi, Lance.
Paul Kellerman: My, uh, mother died of M.S. Last week. She just... Gave out. Just like my
grandfather did, just like my sister did. Just like I...
Sara: Um, if-If I may? Lance, M.S. isn't usually considered genetic.
Paul Kellerman: (with sarcasm) Really? What-What are you, a doctor?
Sara: Uh, I-I am, actually. (hurt) Sorry.
Paul Kellerman: Thank you.
CUT TO:
Brooklyn, New York
(A mobster thug enters the back door of a restaurant kitchen)
Mobster thug: All right, everybody, face the wall and look straight ahead! Eyes front.
(A clean John Abruzzi appears)
How was your flight?
Abruzzi: Bumpy. Everything is ready?
Mobster thug:We got a container ship down at the navy yard. The captain's one of ours.
He's got a stateroom listed as a cargo hold on the manifest. You and your family will be
on it when it sets sail tomorrow.
Six days from now, John, you'll be in Sardinia.
Abruzzi: Good work.
(Abruzzi enter a back room where his wife, son and daughter wait for him)
Abruzzi: Sylvia.
Son: Dad!
Sylvia: We missed you.
Abruzzi: I missed you, too. It's over, it's over
CUT TO:
Friend, Nebraska
(T-Bag pulls into a service station. In the sanitary restroom he swallows a handful of
pills. And then punches his reattached hand with his good fist. He takes a scalpel a
punctures a hole in the middle finger. His hand remains unresponsive.)
T-Bag: Come on, come on.
Hippie: (Walks into the bathroom) What the hell are you doing?
T-Bag: Mind your own business.
(A couple of cops are checking his SUV, T-Bag presses himself up against the wall)
CUT TO:
(Side of the road)
Bellick: What kind of son of a bitch doesn't have a spare tire in his car?
Geary: The kind that already used it.
Bellick: Well, then you're just the sad sack that has to go back into town to get a new
one.
Geary: That's like three miles.
Bellick: That's right. All right, everybody out. That way, come on.
(Walking into the woods)
Michael: (Trying to guide Nika) Careful.
Nika: Don't touch me.
Michael: Just relax.
Nika: You know, I believed everything you told me, and I did everything you asked. I
risked my life for you. For what? For $10,000, I risked my life? And this entire time,
you've had $5 million just waiting there. You're a bastard, Michael.
Bellick: (about Nika) For all the aggravation, I hope you got to hit that a few times,
Scofield. Ba-Ba-Boom-Ba. We're going to wait it out in that shack. Keep moving. Come on.
(They enter into an abandoned shack)
Bellick: Fantasia, get going.
Nika: (Lingering by the doorway) I need to talk to you alone.
Bellick: For what?
Nika: To ruin his life like he ruined mine.
CUT TO:
Friend, Nebraska, Gas Station
Cop: Where you coming from?
T-Bag: Me? I was just hitting the head, boss.
Cop: What's your name?
T-Bag: (Limps over to the policemen) Clyde. Clyde May.
Cop: You got any ID, Mr.May?
T-Bag: I don't, uh... Drive anymore, so don't really have ID per se. Camel jockey left a
big box of boom-boom under my jeep back in Kandahar.
Cop: You military?
T-Bag: Was.
Cop: Which one's your vehicle?
T-Bag: These two sleds right here. That is, in between rides, anyhow.
Cop: Ain't much of a bag to be hitchhiking with.
T-Bag: I travel light.
Cop: And you're just hoofing it out here in the middle of nowhere?
T-Bag: I do have the right to see a little bit of the country I lost my hand for, don't
I? Why don't you tell me what this is all about, officer.
Cop 2: We got a vehicle here without a driver, and at present, you're the only driver
without a vehicle.
T-Bag: Hell, is that what this is all about? Why didn't you say so? Dirty hippie kid
dropping a deuce in the facilities. Came in with that car not two minutes ago.
Cop: Check it out. (He send the other police to check the bathroom)
Cop (to T-Bag): What were you, Army?
T-Bag: Hell no, Corps.
Cop: Well then. "Semper Fi" brother. What outfit where you?
T-Bag: Hundred and ninety sixth.
Cop: Hundred and ninety sixth? Never heard of it. Where they out of?
(Cut short when another cop appears with another suspect. T-Bag smiles)
Cop 2: Hey, elkind! (Coming out of the bathroom with the hippie in tow)
Hippie: What the hell, man? I didn't do nothing.
Cop 2: Found these in his knapsack, after he said he had no car.
Hippie: What?
Cop: Semper Fi, brother.
T-Bag: (Smiling) Semper Fi.
CUT TO:
Abandoned shack
(Michael and Lincoln are tied to a pie in the shack. Lincoln struggles to free himself)
Michael: Stop stressing; it doesn't do any good.
Lincoln: Maybe you ought to start stressing, if they're going to put a bullet in our
heads.
Michael: They need us. They need us to get that money.
Lincoln: I admire your optimism. She's rolling, man. I can feel it.
CUT TO:
Another room of the cabin
Bellick: So you want to ruin Scofield's life. Well, get in line. What are you really
looking for?
Nika: Same as you... Money.
Bellick: Money? You want money? Ten grand, how's that sound? We do it right now, right
there on those floorboards.
Nika: Not in a thousand years.
Bellick: Beat it then. You got nothing else I need.
Nika: [to Bellick] Typical man. I'm talking about millions of dollars and you'd piss it
away for sex
Bellick: That's right.
Nika: And I was hoping you wouldn't let Michael outsmart you, too.
Bellick: Scofield ain't outsmarting no one.
Nika: You think that tire went flat by accident?
Bellick: What are you offering?
Nika: I can find out where the money is. He trusts me.
Bellick: What do you want?
Nika: My fair share.
Bellick: You find out where that money is, your fair share is $200,000.
Nika: Out of five million? It's not even...
Bellick: I got the gun, girl. You're lucky you're a partner at all.
CUT TO:
Brooklyn, New York
Abruzzi: I'll be right back
Thug: Fibonacci's in D.C.
Abruzzi: Yeah, and he's in Denver, Atlanta, Miami...
Thug: No, no, no, no, no. This time, it's for real. He's testifying again. He's in
Washington right now. The Globe Hotel, room 116.
Abruzzi: Is this information any good?
Thug: It's from New Jersey. Fishhead Tommy wants to pay tribute.
Abruzzi: Get the car.
Sylvia (slaps Abruzzi twice): Look at this room, John. Look. (turns around to look at the
kids) We can be a family again, but you wanna risk it all, disrespect us, and for what,
for vengeance?
Abruzzi: He betrayed me.
Sylvia: I don't care.
Abruzzi: He betrayed us. I'm sorry you... Will never understand what happens... When
you're in prison.
Sylvia Abruzzi: You could go back to prison.
Abruzzi: I swear to God, I'd rather die than go back, there's no going back, never ever
again.
Sylvia Abruzzi: Christ saved you John, don't turn your back on him. Don't turn your back
on us.
[she puts a Christ's necklace in his hand]
CUT TO:
Somewhere in rural American
Debra Jean: (in her cell phone) I... I don't know, about 20 miles from Gunnison. He's
coming. I have to go.
Tweener: Who was that?
Debra Jean: Nobody, it's just my father. Hey, listen. Do you mind if we stop at the next
motel?
Tweener: It's only like 4:00?
Debra Jean: Yeah, but we've been driving forever.
Tweener: It's cool, I'll drive.
Debra Jean: I really just want to stop.
Tweener: But if we get on the road now, maybe...
Debra Jean: Scott, it's my car, and I'm tired of being in it, okay?
Tweener: All right.
CUT TO:
(FBI command center)
Mahone: Can you believe it? With all the players in this thing, it's the rat that could
give us our first collar. Come on.
CUT TO:
Abandoned shack
Bellick: You guys need to use the can, hold it. (to Nika) If you need to tinkle, Sweet
Pea, I'll watch you anytime. Sit down. Hands behind your back. (Ties Nika up next to
Michael and Lincoln)
Lincoln: (Once they're alone) You took your time.
Nika: It takes time to gain a man’s confidence. You’re right – he’ll bite on anything I
say. You just tell me where we trap him and I’ll tell him that’s where the money is.
CUT TO:
Bridge, T-Bag walks across a bridge.
Jerry: (The guy in the blue station wagon from the gas station pulls over to give him a
ride) Hey, you're the guy from the gas station, right?
T-Bag: Yeah.
Jerry: I'm the guy who was having car trouble.
T-Bag: Seems to be purring along now, huh?
Jerry: Yeah. Water pump. 200 bucks for this heap.
T-Bag: Well, they'll get you.
Jerry: Look, I-I hope I'm not out of line, but I heard you telling the cop back there
about your hand. My old man was killed in 'nam when I was a kid, and so I have the utmost
respect for our servicemen.
T-Bag: Just serving my country.
Jerry: A lot of us are grateful for it. Listen, if you need a ride or something...
T-Bag: Well, to be honest with you, my... My dogs are kind of barking.
Jerry: Well, all right. Jerry Curtin.
T-Bag: Clyde. Clyde May.
Jerry: My kid Danny's riding shotgun. I hope you don't mind sitting in the back.
Danielle: Hi. I'm Danielle.
T-Bag: Hi, yourself. (Smiling)
CUT TO:
Abandoned shack
Nika: Hey
Bellick: What do you want?
Nika: I need to use the bathroom.
Bellick: Again?
Nika: I have a small bladder.
Bellick: That ain't all you got. Get up.
(Inside the another room)
Bellick: Well?
Nika: They plan to trap you. The big one- He's got friends in Utah. Criminals. A town
called Panguitch. They grow drugs on the farm there. They'll tell you that's where the
money is, but no money. Just old friends with guns, waiting for you.
Bellick: Easy enough. We take a pass on Panguitch. Where's the money really?
Nika: I'll find out soon enough. But $200,000 was old
price for this information. I want a new price.
Bellick: She's trying to renegotiate.
Nika: If it wasn't for me,you'd be face down in a marijuana farm. One third.
Bellick: It's gonna take a lot more than information if you want a million-Six, sweet
pea.
Nika: Such as?
Bellick: You know. Piece of that can anytime I want it.
Nika: Is that it?
Bellick: Aren't you gonna slap me?
Nika: I've slept with men for a lot less, trust me.
Bellick: And what happened to "never in a 1,000 years?
Nika: That was negotiating.
Bellick: So. Deal?
Nika: Deal.
CUT TO:
Sylvia Abruzzi: (Entering a room) We got a $150,000 here, John. With Vittorio's place in
Solanas, we'll be able to live off the interest. Where's your father? (asking her
children)
CUT TO:
Interstate 95, North of Washington D.C.
Thug; Everything all right, boss?
Abruzzi: (checking the clip of his weapon) Yeah. Let's get this over with... So I can get
back to my family.
CUT TO:
(Abandoned shack)
Michael: She’ll get it done. Nika and I have come too far together.
Lincoln: The money’s on the line, you trust no one.
Michael: Sometimes you have to.
Lincoln: If you want to survive, you don’t.
Michael: You really don’t trust anyone, do you?
Lincoln: You blame me? After all that’s happened?
Michael: No, I mean before that. Before prison.
Lincoln: Every time I trusted someone I got burned. Every time I got close to someone, I
got screwed. (sighs) I know better, and so should you.
CUT TO:
(In a motel)
Dreba Jean: That's right, the Lotus Motel. I don't know the number. I can't talk anymore;
I have to go.
(Tweener enters the room)
Tweener: Oh, check it. I- I know this might be a little forward and all, but,um, Let me
ask you something. You got a man? I mean, a boyfriend? What am I thinking? You're
mormon...
Dreba Jean: I'm not mormon. You think all girls from Utah are mormons?
Tweener: They are, aren't they? (Debra Jean rolls her eyes at him and goes into the
bathroom) Well, yo, hey. Yo, then you can party, right?
CUT TO:
(FBI command center)
Mahone: When I land, I want 12 armed agents waiting for me on the ground. Tell them I
want to go straight to the motel from the airstrip. You got it.
CUT TO:
After the Narcotics Anonymous meeting
Kellerman: [posing as Lance] I was an ass before. I apologize.
Sara: A little bit. It's all right. Here you go.
Kellerman: I was a huge ass. I apologize.
Sara: I'm not going to argue with you.
Kellerman: Well, I mean, what were the odds that you were actually a doctor?
Sara: Uh, all right, fair enough. They're probably not good, but, um... And i should not
have interrupted you, and I'm sorry.
Kellerman: I'm sorry, too.
Sara: Well, then, apologies accepted. I, uh, recommend the blueberry pie. (Walks away)
Kellerman: Well, blueberry pie it is.
CUT TO:
T-Bag's ride has stopped at a motel. He sees yound Danielle sitting by the pool reading.
T-Bag: Hey, there, Danny.
Danielle: Hey.
T-Bag: Sure is nice of your daddy to buy me a room for the night.
Danielle: Yeah, he's always helping out with vets and stuff.
T-Bag: Yeah, good man. But I was wishing we could
have kept going on toward Utah. Lots of light left in the day, lots of road to go.
Danielle: When dad's back acts up, we stop.
T-Bag: Young miss? That's kind of insulting, isn't it? I mean, you're a grown woman. But
adults are always trying to infantilize girls your age, treat you like children.
Danielle: No duh. My dad won't let me get earrings, and i'm 14.
T-Bag: You see? That's what i'm saying. You are more than perfectly capable of, uh... Of
making your own decisions...
Danielle: Tell my dad that.
T-Bag: Yeah, but he won't want to hear it,right? Because he wants to keep you as a baby.
Right? Even though you're- You're... You're more than old enough to-To choose how you
want to-To dress, or, uh, accessorize.
(After T-Bag lays his hands on 14-year-old Danielle's shoulder)
Danielle: What are you doing? - No, no. I'm telling my dad.
T-Bag: No. Wait!
(Scene switches to Danielle with her father, Gerry. T-Bag arrives)
T-Bag (to Gerry): She's got it all wrong.
Gerry (to Danielle): Wait outside.
(Gerry picks up an iron)
Gerry: You and I are gonna work this out.
T-Bag: Gerry, you really don't want to do this.
CUT TO:
(Abandoned shack)
(Nika is giving Bellick a sultry lap dance)
Bellick: Thing I like about you is your determination.
Nika: I've got family in Kladno that have been waiting for me to send for them.
Bellick: They know what kind of work you're in?
Nika: They think I work at Starbuck's. (Her hand reaches for his gun)
Bellick: (snatching his gun away from her) How stupid do you think I am?
CUT TO:
(Abandoned shack, now with Michael and Lincoln)
Bellick: My daddy always said "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, I put you in
the ground. Any more games, and I stop
the hooker's air, understand? Thanks for the dance, sweet pea. (His hand reaches for his
sheathed knife, and he's stunned to find it's gone) You bitch!
Lincoln: (grabs Bellick from behind, the knife gripped in his hand, ready to slice open
Bellick's throat) Fooled ya.
CUT TO:
(Abandoned shack)
Geary: I carried it; the cons can change it.
[When he returns to find Bellick tied down and Lincoln pointing a gun at him]
Geary: You really suck Bellick, you know that?
Michael: Roll 'em. Let's go. Put your hands behind your back. (to Nika) Thank you.
Bellick: (to Nika) You're as stupid as the prison doc, you know that?
Michael: Ignore him.
Bellick: He conned her, too. Made her think he loved her, and look what she got. An
overdose and a shot at 30 years inside.
Michael: What are you talking about?
Bellick: Guess you haven't been reading the papers, have you, college boy? Cops found
your girlfriend fish belly white, gurglin' her own puke.
Michael: Shut up.
Bellick: What do you care, as long as she left the door open for you?
Michael: SHUT UP!
Brad Bellick: Hit a sore spot, didn't I?
[Michael kicks Brad in the head]
CUT TO:
(Danny exits a convenience store a sees her dad's car rolling out of the motel parking
lot)
Danny: Dad...
(But T-Bag is driving and wearing his dad's baseball cap)

CUT TO
(Outside the church, Sara and Kellerman sit on the stoop, eating their pie.)
Kellerman: [to Sara] This really is like the best pie I’ve ever had. [pause] Do you know
what it needs, though?
Sara: Hmm?
Kellerman: Some crack.
Sara: [laughs]
Kellerman: No... you know... not a lot... a pinch.
Sara: A pinch of crack?
Kellerman: A pinch of crack. A pinch of crack, a dollop of smack... mmm... [high pitched
voice] that's good pie.
Sara: That's so wrong. [Licking her fingers]
Kellerman: No?
[Sara's cell phone rings]
Sara: I'm sorry.
Sara: [answers her cell phone] Hello.
Michael: Sara. It's me.
Sara: [walks away from Kellerman] What do you want?
Michael: I don't have time to talk and there's every chance that they're listening to
this call right now, but there's a lot I want to say. Please don't hang up on me.
Sara: I don't...I don't want to talk to you.
Michael: [rest forehead against the wall] I heard about...I heard about what happened,
and I want you to know...I want you to know how sorry I am for everything.
Sara: Sorry's not going to do me a whole lot of good with what I'm up against right now.
Michael: Listen, anyone with any ties to me and my brother is in danger now.
Sara: I have no ties to you and your brother anymore.
Michael: There's a way I can protect you. It's already in your possession.
Sara: [running her hands through her hair] What are you talking about?
Michael: It was real, Sara. You and me, it's real [pause and then hangs up]. [Nika walks
away]
Sara: Michael? [Kellerman looks up]
CUT TO:
(Mahone's on the road with his people:
Mahone: (asking the driver) How long to the motel?
Driver: Approximately ten minutes, sir.
Mahone: Let's make it five?
CUT TO:
(Motel where Dreba Jean and Tweener are)
Tweener: Yo, I haven't taken a shower like that in forever! Where are you going?
Debra Jean: I was going to surprise you.
Tweener: Surprise me how?
Debra Jean: I was going to get some tequila and limes.
Tweener: All right, well, hold up-
Debra Jean: No, no. No, it'll only take a minute. Stay here and relax.
Tweener: You seem kind of nervous.
Debra Jean: I do
Tweener: Yeah, you're sweating.
Debra Jean: Maybe I am nervous.
Tweener: Trust me, girl, you got nothing to worry about, all right? I'm one of the good
guys.
Debra Jean: You seem like it.
CUT TO:
A black sedan pulls up outside The Globe Motel. Abruzzi gets out.
Abruzzi: Hang on tight.
Driver: I had the manager unlock the door.
Abruzzi: Gotcha.
(Walks to room 116, no one's there, he points the gun toward the bathroom, he hers tires
squeal and car doors slam)
Mahone: If you're looking for the rat, John... Fibonacci's 2,000 miles from here.
Abruzzi: Who are you? Local cops or feds?
Mahone: Feds, John. They only roll out the best for a man of your stature.
Abruzzi:I deserve to know who turned on me. Tell me.
Mahone: The man was facing a rico rap. He did not want to go to prison. I'm sure you can
appreciate that, knowing what you know about the place now. Whatever you're thinking
about doing, John... Don't.
You are going back to Fox River, John. Or the morgue. That's your call
Abruzzi: (holding his wife's crucifix in his hand) I'm coming out. (Kiss the cross)
Mahone: Weapons comes out first, John.
Abruzzi: (whispering) Forgive me. (Norma voice) Yeah, I'm coming out.
Mahone: Easy, John. Easy. We got a weapon, right hand. These are serious men here. They
have instructions to shoot at the first sign of aggression. Please.
I’m asking you respectfully. Drop the gun, kneel, and put your hands on your head.
Abruzzi (his last words): I kneel only to God. I don’t see him here. (He raises his gun)
(The men fire)
Mahone: John!
(As the last life leaves his body, the cross drop to the pavement, and Abruzzi is left
dead and bloody on the grass)
CUT TO:
Motel, Tweener and Debra Jean drink tequila
Debra Jean: I think I screwed up. My dad's an Air Force Colonel. Total Nazi. One of
those... Nightmare overprotective dads.
Tweener: Yeah?
Debra Jean: Well, I called him. Told him I was traveling with you.staying in the same
hotel room.
Tweener: Girl.
Debra Jean: What?
Tweener: You got to learn how to lie, girl. What you thinking?
Debra Jean: Yeah, I- For some reason I don't know how. He-He was mad enough when I told
him I was staying in a hotel room with a guy, that was one thing...
Tweener: Yeah, yeah.
Debra Jean: But when I told him I was staying in a hotel with a guy that... I maybe sort
of liked... He lost it.
Tweener: Wait. Wait, what?
Tweener: Is that okay?
(They stare at each other, then Debra Jean leans in, and they kiss)

CUT TO:
Side of the road
Michael: At least let us take you into town.
Nika: No. If I'm seen with you, it's a lot of trouble for me. I can walk; it's only a
mile.
Michael: We never would've made it this far without you.
Nika: But now you're crossing the border... Without me.
Michael: You can't go where we're going. It's not a life for you.
Nika: Then that's it then. It's over for good.
Michael: Thank you. (They hug each other) Be safe.
Nika: (to Lincoln) Good luck. (She wraps her arms around Lincoln and she grabs the gun
tucked into the back of his pants)
Nika (pulling the gun on Michael and Linc): I loved you, Michael. And I thought I was
gonna get that back, but you just used me.
Michael: That’s not true.
Nika: I deserve more than this. I deserve more than just being the girl you call when you
need something.
Lincoln: You really think you're gonna find the money in Utah?
Nika: I don't care about the money in Utah! I don't want any more crime. I turn you in, I
get $200,000. Legal money. (She takes the cell phone from the dashboard of the car)
You're the policemen's problem now.
Michael: Nika...
Nika: Don't come any closer or else I'll shoot you.
Lincoln: (holding up the bullets) No you won't
Michael: Good luck to you.
CUT TO:
Command Center
Wheeler: Hey. HQ called. They’re askin’ why you didn’t intercept Abruzzi when he was
walkin’ towards the motel.
Mahone: The man was a mob boss. The right move was to get him trapped.
Wheeler: They’re sayin’ the way you played it, there was only one possible outcome.
Mahone: HQ has a problem with the way I do things, they can pick up a gun and follow me
into the field next time. Scofield always knew the rat was the key to Abruzzi. We just
put it out on the wire and Abruzzi bit. (X's out Abruzzi's face)
Wheeler: Speaking of Scofield... (hands him a folder) That crash was staged.
Mahone: Pig blood. Smart kid. (He sees OThe problem with being that clever is that sooner
or later you end up getting too clever for your own good.
(Michael's photo becomes Shales' photo)
Wheeler: Good night. (Leaves)
(Mahone rops the photo off the bulletin board, and leans against it, trying to catch his
breath)
Mahone: [to Michael's picture] You have no idea what you're in for.
